1	UHV Indoor Laboratory	30/08/2012	Presently, Ultra High-Voltage Research Laboratory (UHV RL), CPRI, Hyderabad is having facilities for dielectric tests on all high-voltage equipment upto 1200 kV, at outdoor. A new UHV indoor laboratory is in advance stage of construction at UHVRL. The new indoor laboratory will have facilities for complete type testing of Instrument Transformers upto 1200 kV as per IEC: 60044-1, IEC: 60044-2 and IEC:60044-5. Measurement of radio-interference voltage, corona test and partial discharge tests on all high-voltage equipment upto 1200 kV can be conducted at indoor. Also, facility for conducting high-voltage withstand test on HV DC insulator strings is being set-up at UHVRL. A new outdoor ± 1200 kV, 200 mA DC source is being procured for this.
